Bright, citrusy, and unmistakably uplifting, bergamot is one of the most versatile and well-loved botanicals in natural wellness. Its unique ability to simultaneously calm the nervous system and lift the mood makes it unlike almost any other essential oil - easing anxious feelings and emotional tension while bringing a sense of lightness and clarity in their place.
Citrus bergamia, cold-pressed from the rind of the bergamot orange. One of the most uplifting and balancing oils in aromatherapy — and the signature note in Earl Grey tea.
What is it used for?
Traditionally used to support mood, ease occasional anxiety, and balance both energising and relaxing effects. A common ingredient in natural fragrance.
Is it photosensitive?
Standard cold-pressed bergamot contains bergapten — a compound that can cause skin photosensitivity in sunlight. For skin applications, look for bergaptene-free (FCF) bergamot. Confirm the variant on the label before applying to skin.
